About
Annabella Cox is a lyric-coloratura soprano recognized for her bright, flexible sound, secure upper register, and engaging stage presence. She is currently completing her Master of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Colorado Boulder and is an emerging artist with experience in operatic scenes, full productions, and concert performance.
Recent engagements include Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) with Operativo Houston, Serpetta (Die Gärtnerin aus Liebe) with Middlebury German for Singers, and Mabel (Pirates of Penzance) with Eklund Opera . She has appeared in opera scenes programs with Eklund Opera performing Frasquita (Carmen), Cunegonde (Candide), and Emmie (Albert Herring), as well as Judith Stein in a workshop of Mark Adamo’s Sarah in the Theater. At CU Boulder, she has undertaken a role study of Norina (Don Pasquale), further developing her facility with bel canto style.
Annabella has performed as a soprano soloist with the Boulder Renaissance Consort, First United Methodist Church of Boulder and in gala and outreach concerts. Her training includes Middlebury Language Schools’ German for Singers program and Eklund Opera’s New Opera Workshop. She holds a Bachelor of Vocal/Choral Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and brings strong, musical preparation, and collaborative professionalism to rehearsal. Annabella is eager to continue building relationships with regional opera companies and summer festivals.
